Residents across the GCC region will now be able to buy ostrich meat at Lulu hypermarkets after the retail chain tied up with an Al Ain-based farm at the Gulfood exhibition taking place in Dubai.
The memoranda was signed by Fahad Al Kitbi, Chairman of Ostrich Oasis, and Riyad Jabbar, Director of Al Tayeb International, a division of LuLu Group.
The group also signed an MoU to procure, promote and sell Indian millets in the MENA region, as well as an agreement to import processed food and agriculture produce from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. An agreement was also signed with Renuka Sugar Mills to bring LuLu brand sugar to its hypermarkets, while a deal with US-based Herr’s Food Inc will bring American specialty foods to GCC markets.
